The Red Emperor turns in an outstanding performance at Caulfield over his first try at 1800m. Trapped wide for the whole race he showed great fight to hit the lead and then hanging on to be nosed out of 3rd place. He was entitle to drop out in the run but his never say die attitude makes him a horse to follow and he will only get better.
The Red Emperor was bought at New Zealand Yearling Sales and at the same time I purchased Steel Road, who made it three wins in a row and he is an exciting sprinter.
All Due Respect also ran a slashing race at Caulfield in the $100K William Inglis race running a close 4th. He has hand only three starts for a win and two fourths.
He is another horse who will only improve over the next six months.
Well Spent (By Pentire) run very pleasing 2nd at his first start over 1200m and has been spelled for the autumn staying races.
TanTat Brav an eight-length winner at his first start is spelling after a chip in fetlock joint. Will be back late autumn.
Pento Diablo also on the injured list after running in Bendigo Cup and will be out till after the autumn.
2. Y.O. update
Shinko King- having a spell after being broken in and having a short prep at Havelock Park. He is a great mover and is maturing into a great type, if you are interested in a nice staying type ring Doug.
Ne Coupe Paz is in training and will be ready for a trial. He is a well-coupled gelding with a good nature and is moving along well. He is a horse who should race early.

Tan Tat Brav made a barnstorming start to his racing career with a 7 length win in the Hyperno Hcp at the VRC meeting held at Bendigo yesterday. Craig Williams eased the colt down near the line, but he still won by a massive margin !
Doug personally chose Tan Tat Brav at last year’s Magic Million sales and purchased the colt for $360,000. I was told by the owner to buy him a good horse and I did. Tan Tat Brav will be targeting the rich feature races this Spring.
